Your Questions, Answered
A few common questions about our services, process, and what to expect.
-
Welmivia is a physician-led medical practice providing structured evaluations for medical cannabis eligibility under Virginia law. Our role is to assess whether medical cannabis may be clinically appropriate and, when indicated, issue a physician certification with appropriate documentation.
We do not sell or dispense cannabis products.
-
Yes. All evaluations at Welmivia are conducted via secure telehealth. This allows patients across Virginia to access physician care privately and conveniently, without visiting a physical clinic.
-
All medical evaluations and certification decisions are made by a licensed physician. Administrative and operational support is handled separately to preserve clinical independence and compliance.
-
No. Welmivia does not guarantee certification.
Certification is issued only when, in the physician’s clinical judgment, medical cannabis is appropriate under Virginia law. If it is not appropriate, this will be communicated clearly and professionally.
-
Virginia law allows physicians to recommend medical cannabis based on clinical judgment rather than a fixed list of qualifying conditions.
During your evaluation, the physician will review your medical history, symptoms, prior treatments, and potential risks to determine whether certification is appropriate for you.
-
Medical cannabis certifications can carry professional, legal, or employment-related implications depending on your circumstances.
Welmivia cannot provide legal advice or predict employer policies, but we understand these concerns and approach evaluations with discretion, documentation integrity, and regulatory awareness in mind.
If you have specific concerns, we encourage you to raise them during your evaluation.
-
With your consent, we can support coordination with your primary care provider or other treating clinicians when appropriate.
Welmivia does not replace your existing medical care and functions as a focused evaluation service within your broader healthcare context.
-
If certified, you will receive physician documentation consistent with Virginia requirements. Our records are designed to reflect thoughtful medical decision-making and support continuity of care.
-
No. Medical advice and certification decisions are provided only during a physician evaluation.
General questions about scheduling, process, or next steps can be addressed through our contact form.
